SAME DAY
Delhi, Agra and Delhi

Itinerary

Same Day Drive to Agra (200 km, 2-3 hours one way )

In the Same Day Taj Mahal Tour Package, you will arrive at the Delhi Airport. Delhi is India’s national capital and the second largest metropolis after Mumbai. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.
In the morning, you will drive to Agra. Upon arrival you will visit the world-famous Taj Mahal (1631-1653) at the sunrise. This amazing piece of architecture made of white-colored marble, was built by Mughal ruler Shah Jahan for his departed wife Mumtaz Mahal. Its architecture reveals why it’s one of the Seven Wonders of the World. For 22 years, 20,000 expert workers worked day and night from 1631 to 1653.

Post lunch, you will visit Agra Fort at the west bank of the Yamuna River. AGRA FORT is one of the most imperative and strongly built edifices of the Mughal rulers, inflated with the sum of opulently adorned buildings incorporating the daunting Mughal style of art and construction. It is situated in Agra of Uttar Pradesh, India. The fort is popular among tourists as Red Fort, Fort Rouge and Laal Quila of Agra. It is positioned on the rightward bank of the Yamuna River and was built by the third Mughal king Akbar on the leftovers of a prehistoric place well known as Badalgarh. It is remarkable piece of architecture completed by four Great Mughal Emperors.

After the sightseeing, you will drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
