Ladakh-Himachal Tour Package

Day 1 Arrival in Delhi

You will arrive at the Delhi Airport. Delhi is India’s national capital and the second largest metropolis after Mumbai. Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region. An overnight stay in Delhi.

Day 2 Early Morning flight to Leh

Early in morning, you will take flight to Leh. After arrival in Leh, we will leave for Pangong Lake (6-7 hours) through Changla pass 5486 Meters Pangong Lake, situated at 14,000 feet (4,267 m). A long narrow basin of inland drainage, hardly six to seven kilometer at its widest point and over 130km long, it is bisected by the international border between India and China. A few years back the government decided to open it to tourists though the lake and its surrounding is under army surveillance. Enjoy the landscape in the backdrop of the Lake. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable. Evening is at leisure. An overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3 Pangong Lake to Leh (6-7 hours)

Morning at leisure to explore the beauty of lake and later we drive back to Leh en route visiting Hemis Gompa, the largest monastic foundation of Drukpa Kagyu Order of Tibetan Buddhism, Thiksey an impressive complex rising tier upon tier on a hill above the village, Shey Palace, The ancient capital of Ladakh & Stok Palace Museum. Day 4 Leh to Nubra Valley (126 km, 5-6 hours)

After an early breakfast we drive to Nubra Valley leads through Khardung – La – Pass (the highest motor able road in the world) at 18,390 feet, around 39 km from Leh. Nubra Valley is popularly known as Ldorma or the valley of flowers. It is situated to the North of Ladakh between the Karakoram and Ladakh ranges of the Himalayas. Arrive at Sumur or Hunder by afternoon and rest of the day at leisure to explore beautiful village of Sumur & Hunder with a Visit to Diskit Monastery. An Overnight stay in Leh.

Day 5 Nubra Valley to Leh

After your breakfast at the camp, visit the Sand Dunes to enjoy a camel safari (Optional). Later we drive to Leh by same route over Khardung La. Afternoon rest and relax or take a walk to the local market. An Overnight stay in the hotel at Leh. Ladakh-Himachal Tour Package

Day 6 Leh to Uleytokpo

Post Breakfast we drive to visit Phyang Gompa, located 6 kms away from Leh. Further we drive to Likir, Likir gompa situated atop a windy cliff top overlooking the beautiful village of Likir. Basgo is certainly the most impressive of Ladakhi citadels despite its ruined state. Then we drive and cross the River Indus and reach Alchi, Ladakh’s most loved monastery. After visiting above monasteries we drive to Uleytokpo to check in at Campsite for overnight stay.

Day 7 Alchi – Lamayuru – Kargil (160 km, 5-6 hours)

Post breakfast we check out from Camp and drive to Kargil enroute visiting Rizong Gompa, known as the paradise for Meditation & Lamayuru, Belongs to Dripung Kagyu (Red Hat) like Phyang. After visiting the monastery we drive straight to Kargil over Fatu-la [13,489 ft] which is the highest pass on Srinagar – Leh road. An overnight in Kargil.

Day 8 Kargil to Srinagar (204 km, 8-9 hours)

After early Breakfast by 6.00 am drive to Srinagar passing through Drass, the second coldest inhabited Place on earth and you can have spectacular view of Kargil War famous Peaks Tiger Hill and Tololing Peak. Pay a tribute to Vijay Smarak, dedicated to Indian Soldiers who laid their lives for us during Kargil War in 1999. We stop at Sonmarg for a while from where Srinagar is just 80 km. Sonmarg is at north-east of Srinagar and at an altitude of 2743 m. Popularly known as the ‘Meadow of Gold’ this place is strewn with the loveliest of alpine flowers and surrounded by mountains mantled in fir and pine. Arrive Srinagar and check in house boat at Dal Lake or hotel. An overnight stay in Shrinagar.

Day 9 Explore! Srinagar

Today morning, after breakfast, transfer to airport for flight to Srinagar. After arrival at Srinagar, transfer to the hotel or deluxe houseboat. Later, sightseeing of Srinagar. In Srinagar you will visit the Mughal gardens at the east bank of the Dal Lake, the Nishat Bagh or the ‘Garden of the Joy;, and Shalimar, the ‘Garden of Love’. Then, you will take an afternoon stroll through the old town, at the western bank of the lake. You will also visit the large Hazrat-Bal-mosque. In the late afternoon, enjoy a Shikara ride on the Dal Lake and visit the floating and vegetable gardens etc., where you will also have a great view of the sunset. An overnight in Srinagar. Day 10 Drive on to Gulmarg (60 km, 2 hours)

After breakfast you will go on an exploration of Gulmarg, which offers an incomparable view of the Kashmir Valley and the 26,653-foot-high Nanga Parbat, as well as other surrounding peaks. You can also play a round of golf at Gulmarg or have a Gondola ride (cable car) from Gulmarg to Khalinmarg. An overnight in Gulmarg.

Day 11 Drive on to Pahalgam (140 km, 4 hours)

Leave Gulmarg after having early breakfast and drive to Pahalgam or the Valley of Shepherds via Srinagar. Drive through the eye-catching Saffron fields, visit Awantipura ruins, an 1100 years old temple of Lord Vishnu built by King Awantiwareman. After reaching Pahalgam, you will be transferred to the hotel. Later in the afternoon you can visit the scenic Lidder valley in Pahalgam. An overnight in Pahalgam. Ladakh-Himachal Tour Package

Day 12 Drive to Jammu (281 km, 5-6 hours)

Today, after breakfast, drive to Jammu. After arrival in Delhi, transfer to hotel. If you wish, you can go for Vaishno devi temple. An overnight stay in Jammu.

Day 13 Drive to Dharamshala (193 km, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast and check out from the hotel, you will drive to Dharamshala. After reaching you will visit the Dal Lake which is spread in an area of 1 km and is bounded by rhododendrons, deodars, and junipers forest. Annually, a fair is held at the Kali Temple near the Lake. There is another temple close to the lake that is dedicated to sage Durvasa. Dal Lake is 2 km walk westwards from McLeodGanj bazaar.
Then visit Triund, which is nestled in the foothills of Dhauladhar and is around 17 km from Dharamshala. It’s a trekking destination from McLeodGanj, and offers magnificent vistas of the mountains and valleys.
Naddi is the scenic picnic spot is located 5 km northwest of McLeodGanj. Naddi offers a spectacular view of the Kangra valley. You can trek to Kareri Lake, Triund, and Guna Devi from here. It’s also becoming a popular destination for nature lovers.
Masrur or Masroor is the major attraction of this place is the fifteen exquisitely carved monolithic rock temples dating back to 8th century. The carvings of these temples are similar to Kailash temple at Ellora. In the sanctum of the main temple, one can find images of Lord Ram, and the Goddesses Sita and Lakshmi. An overnight stay in Dharamshala.

Day 14 Drive to Manali (269 km, 5-6 hours)

After breakfast, you will drive to Manali. Upon arrival you will start the sightseeing of Manali
Firstly, you will visit Solang Valley (14 km) drives its name from combination of words Solang (Nearby village) and Nullah (water streams from mountains). It is a side valley at the top of the Kullu Valley in Himachal Pradesh, India 14 km northwest of the resort town Manali on the way to Rohtang Pass, and is known for its summer and winter sport conditions. The sport which is most commonly available is parachuting, paragliding, skating and zorbing.
Rohtang Pass (51 km): On the road to Keylong is the Nehru Kund (6km) which is a clear water spring named after the Late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru. Kothi (12km) is a picturesque village and has a view of the deep gorge through which the Beas swiftly races. The Rahalla falls (16km) are at altitude of 2500m. A crucial link on the old trade route and still the gateway to Trans Himalayan Lahaul, the Rohtang Pass is at height of 3978 m. The pass is 52 km from Manali town. On the way to Rohtang Pass, lies a popular picnic spot known as Rani Nala, which is 40 km from Manali town.
Then you will visit the Club House with its comprehensive facilities that include a roller skating rink, an auditorium, billiards rooms, a library, a bar and restaurant. Bungee jumping is also provided. An overnight stay in Manali.

Day 15 Drive to Shimla (249 km, 5-6 hours)

Today, after breakfast you will drive to Shimla thereafter you will do the sightseeing of Shimla. You will visit, the Christ Church which is the second oldest church in Northern India. It has a very majestic appearance and inside there are stained glass windows which represent faith, hope, charity, fortitude, patience and humility. Then, the Mall is the main shopping street of Shimla. It also has many restaurants, clubs, banks, bars, Post Offices and tourist offices. The Gaiety Theatre is also situated there. People walk up and down The Mall slowly, stopping to gossip, as it is the main meeting place for everyone. The Ridge and Scandal Point are the two main meeting points at The Mall. Day 16 Drive to Delhi (369 km, 6-7 hours)

Today, after breakfast you will drive back to Delhi. Upon arrival you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
